Please see above for a map indicating traffic flow on our parking lot.
The lane closest to our building is for bus drop-off only.
The lane outside the median nearest the bus lane is for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up only.
Our drop off lane is for single lane traffic only. There is no through-traffic between the kiss and ride lane and the lot.
For those not availing of busing, please use our student drop-off lane or park in our parking lot in a designated space.
Areas deemed no-parking zones are clearly marked; this safety measure must be respected at all times.
Our parking lot is reverse-parking only.
Families wishing to park their car and walk their child to the entrance must pull in fully to a designated parking space and exit only via the middle lane as directed by our crossing guard.
All exiting of children from cars during morning drop-off will stop while buses approach and off-load. Once buses have moved on, kiss and ride procedures will resume.
Our staff and volunteers are charged first with ensuring the safety of students as they arrive at and depart from school each day. Traffic flow and safety measures have been developed in consultation with student transportation personnel and we appreciate your cooperation and respect as they carry out their duties.
If you are interested in joining our parking lot volunteer team, please reach out to us at stmatthewselem@nlschools.ca.
